코로나 사태로 마스크 쓰기뿐 아니라, 사회적 거리 두기도 상당히 익숙해져 갑니다. 이제는 꼭 손잡고 인사하지 않아도 그리 섭섭해하지 않아서, 앞으로 인사 때문에 시험들 성도는 없을 것 같아 그 점 하나는 좋습니다. 이러한 생활 형태는 앞으로 백신이 나오기까지는 한동안 계속되어, 예배드리기 위해 예배당에 모여도 거리두기 생활방식은 코로나 이후에도 남아있는 문화가 될 것 같습니다. 성도들이 이제는 교회에 나와도 한 공간에 가득 모여 밥을 먹는 문화보다는, 약간 거리를 두고 3-4명이 앉아 교제하는 분위기가 될 것 같습니다. 이미 유럽에서는 레스토랑마다 유리상자가 등장하기 시작했다고 합니다.

꿈속에서나 그리던 유리 상자 안에서 비나 추위를 피하면서도 여전히 근사한 풍경을 즐기며 식사할 수 있는 새로운 시설이 등장한 것입니다. 어쩌면 우리 예배실에도 유리 상자가 등장할지 모르겠습니다.☺ 용도는 다 르지만, 이미 드럼은 유리 상자 안에 들어가 있습니다. 예배실이 힘들면, 교회 마당에 야외 카페 시설을 마련하여 각 테이블마다 사회적 거리를 두고 교제를 나누는 분위기가 생겨날 것 같습니다. 우리 교회도 사람들이 가장 많이 몰리는 곳이 아마 카페일 것입니다. 부엌에서 여러 권사님들이 애써 만드신 많은 양의 음식을 줄서서 받는 문화에서, 품격화된 카페 음식을 신선한 야외 공기를 마셔가며 여유 있게 즐기는 카페 문화가 더 빨리 정착할 것 같습니다.

유리 상자는 그런 의미에서 미래 성도들의 교제를 보여주는 상징성이 있습니다. 먼저는 깨끗한 투명성입니다. 아무리 물리적 거리를 둔다 해도, 영적인 교제는 투명할 때에만 가능하기 때문입니다. 서로를 위한 기도는 이 투명한 영적 나눔 없이는 불가능합니다. 똑같이 예배의 영광을 누리고, 똑같이 뜨거운 영적 공동체의 교제를 공유하면서 나의 믿음을 지키는 길은 영적 투명성을 지키는 일입니다. 또한 유리 상자는 넘지 말아야 할 선을 보여줍니다. 아무리 투명해도 지켜야 할 예의가 있으며 서로 존중해야 할 ‘거리’가 있습니다. 이 거리를 지키지 못해서 힘들어하는 공동체가 의외로 많습니다. 이번 코로나 사태로 분쟁하던 교회들의 여러 가지 문제들이 소리 없이 사라졌다고 합니다. 다시 문을 여는 교회마다 기쁨과 기대감으로 가득 차 있지만, 조심할 것은 이전에 지키지 못했던 거리 때문
에 다시 분쟁하는 일이 없도록 성령의 유리상자를 준비해야 할 것입니다.

Glass Box

We are becoming very familiar with wearing mask and social distancing due to Coronavirus. We no longer feel bad when we don’t shake hands to greet each other. One good thing out of this is that I don’t think from now on the church members will get hurt over greetings. Until we have vaccine in place, this kind of lifestyle will continue. Even though we gather to worship, this kind of social distancing will become the new culture going forward after Corona_xfffe_virus. Church members will no lon_xfffe_ger gather in tight spaces to eat, but rather sit distanced with 3-4 people for fellowship. Glass boxes are now seen at restaurants in Europe.

You can only see this kind of new facilities like glass boxes in dreams. They are appearing for people to eat in while enjoying scenery safe from rain and cold. Perhaps we may already have glass box in our sanctuary.☺ The purpose is different but our drum set is already in a glass box. If the sanctuary is difficult, then maybe we can set up an outdoor café in our courtyard with parasols for fellowship while social distancing. I think our café is where most people gathered. I think café culture will settle more quickly where you can enjoy fine café food in outdoor air rather than cafeteria culture served by deaconesses, in sweat and hard work, making massive foods for people lined up tightly to eat in cafeteria.

In a way, glass boxes symbolically represent our fellowship. First, it’s the clear transparency. Regardless of physical distancing, spiritual fellowship is only possible in transparency. Praying for each other is not possible without transparent spiritual sharing. In the same way, keeping spiritual transparency is how we can keep our faith, partake in glory of worship, share and fellowship as a spiritual community. Glass boxes also show the line where you should not cross. Regardless of transparency, there are et_xfffe_iquettes and respected ‘distance’ for one another. There are many church communities going through hard time because these distances are not kept. Because of Coronavirus, problems that caused dispute in churches have quietly disappeared. Every church that is opening is full of joy and expectations. We must prepare spiritual glass boxes to keep from dis_xfffe_putes caused by not keeping distance like in the past.
